(Boy, am I gonna get in trouble for that, or what?)

And we've got an okay Impressionist show in town at the moment from some place called the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Trouble is, it's as hard to get into as a hit Broadway show, and costs about as much, too. But that just goes to show not everyone wants death and dismemberment as a daily diet here.Ed Wardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17805932361842578943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7052429.post-64265539546179125382007-07-18T13:27:00.000+02:002007-07-18T13:27:00.000+02:00Ah ah, that was so funny. Bien fait pour toi, next time you will choose a not so young woman to accompany you. :-)))

There is a nice exhibition of Impressionit paintings in Montpellier for the moment. I have seen it three times already. Not bloody at all :-)Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04317498718218889741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7052429.post-12889178909548770942007-07-16T23:47:00.000+02:002007-07-16T23:47:00.000+02:00I haven't been to Pain - for one major reason - bu...I haven't been to Pain - for one major reason - but now I know it's free on Thursday afternoons I may well do so. The major reason was that I don't think I'd ever again pay any sum whatsoever to visit an exhibition curated by Annemarie Hürlimann und Daniel Tyradellis, the two people responsible for it. I once made the mistake of seeing their "10+5=Gott" exhibition at the Jewish Museum, which I found to be little more than trash and pop (only vaguely) disguised as an educational exhibition.

So, thanks for the information - when it cools down a bit, I'll be right over there!Karl-Marx-Straßehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10156583472078730461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7052429.post-79552101598994897322007-07-16T13:14:00.000+02:002007-07-16T13:14:00.000+02:00i thought the painstation very sweet. ...and the t...i thought the painstation very sweet. ...and the tiny christ as well...i was also delighted to see the gottfried benn autopsy register and the nietzsche deathmask! all those organs in formaldehyde were from the charite's medical museum, why they needed to drag them across the street i'll never know - did you make it over there as well? i enjoyed the exhibition but thought it a bit unfocused. i think the curators bit off more than they could chew....so to speak...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
